After more than a week using this earbuds and after having used the cx 300 and sony mdr 71 I say that: The RP HJ70 have better build quality, accesories includded are better too. The RP HJ70 needed some usage time to produce its best sound. I´ve never heard Paco de Lucia´s guitar so full and accurate. Classic and rock sounded very good, specially in mids and highs, but if you are used to sonys excellent bass you´ll find some lack of it. They are very accurate reproducing all different instruments and vocals; sound isolation is better than in the XC 300 and simmilar to the sony´s. If you use it for music you won´t get by no means dissapointed, but for …read full review

EXcellenT - As a replacement for the unfortunately broken and therefore on a side crashing headphones of my Panasonic SL-CT480 DiscMan (not everyone hears MP3!!!!) I did order myself the Panasonic RP-HJE70E-S and received finally per EMS out of Japan today. Has only 7 days lasted: -) Price lt. Manufacturers 149,- swallow! not cheap be praised I for that, also just approve, but that also in the highest tones and is can forgo good sound as well as bass important, otherwise I immediately the Musikhören to me. Unpack: The earphones come in a beautiful box, that one can open and can close with Klettverschluss again. Therein is: 1. The earphone even …read full review

These earbuds sound excellent. They're comfortable, but I wouldn't recommend any earbuds for exercise. They tend to fall out if not draped over the ear when exercising. Otherwise they stay in fine. I guess my only major complaint is the long piece where they snap together, but it's not bad and serves a good purpose for storage & wrapping. …read full review

Very good set of headphones for the money, a great improvement over my old Sony MDR-EX71SL - just as comfortable, good bass and a cleaner sound than the Sony's. Plus they look great! Anyone looking for an affordable (under £50) set of headphones should take a look at the HJE70's. Only downside so far is they are bigger and heavier than the Sony's but once im used to them it wont be an issue. Excellent service from Audiocubes and delivery was very fast - 5 days from Japan to the UK - and no customs charges either! …read full review

Great value!! I've never been able to use stardard earphones as my righ ear is a little weird (seems the doctor used it to pull me out of mom!!). So, the only solution was in-ear ones. I wanted some good ones but Shure and Etymotics were a little out of budget. After reading some reviews I decided to get the RP-HJE70 and I think is the best choice. Cannot say how they sound as I've opened the box just few minutes ago but they look top quality and they fit perfect even my right ear. I'll try them immediatly with some of my favourite soundtracks while sleeping siesta. …read full review

I have a pair of Audio Technica ATH EM7s which are excellent IF you're inside. I had a pair of Sony EX81s which were great inside or outside, but Sony should really market them more honestly and call them disposables, since they only lasted about four months, what with the wire sleeve disintegrating. Now I have the Panasonics, and so far so good - not quite as comfortable and secure fitting at the Sonys, mid-range a bit weak( but hopefully will improve with a bit of burn-in), but excellent bass and beautifully detailed highs. Great design, and they seem really well built. Isolation is a good compromise if you want to hear the music, but need a bit of amb …read full review

Bouhg these headphones after loads of good reviews on various forums. Have tried Sony EX71s, MDR31LPs, Sennheiser CX300 and Skullcandy Smokin Buds. I have stopped looking for that elusive combination of comfort, reasonable isolation, good desighn and especially excellent sound quality. Since using these with my ipod 5G 60gb I have been entirely satisfied with the sound quality on all types of music and video. The phones have a good balance of clean, never boomy bass, sweet treble and good sound stage. Sound output level is also ok. Have not suffered from any microphonic problems, even in windy environments. Would recommend these to any one looking for in-ear …read full review

These earphones are the greatest! As soon as I got them in the mail I could see how professional they look (the packaging is great). Inside is the metallic case used for the earphones, the quality of which I didn't expect for an earphone case. The actual earphones are a dream - they feel solid, they sound great, and innovative. I love the way they magnetically stick together and tuck neatly into the provided case! For the price, everyone who is a serious about music and looking to replace their bundled earphones they got with their mp3, must have these! …read full review

I have just got a pair of these this morning and I have to say that these buds are fantastic. Right out of the box they are involving with good tight punchy bass, great mid-range and even better highs. Having only had them for a few hours they haven't had a chance to burn in yet but from what I've read they get even better. They are such a vast improvement of the Sony EX71's (I've had two pairs) and heaps better than Panasonics own RP-HJE50's, they sound tighter and more involving. They also look amazing. The posts were longer than I expected but they actually help with keeping them in my ears due to the pivot. My only very minor gripe is that the post edge …read full review

Wow do these things rock! My previous earbuds were the Sony EX-71's, which I did enjoy very much. However, I was looking for something with more of a balanced range in sound and this has it. Whereas the 71s boomed in the low range and had virtually no mids, the Panasonics give you a terrific mix of lows, mids, and highs (after some burn-in time). The treble may seem a bit bright at first (though nowhere near as harsh as the 71s), but after a little while they'll calm down. The phones come with 3 tip sizes, an extension cord, and a velvet carry pouch. The aluminum body gives it a stylish look while making it light weight. And it also has a clever feature wher …read full review

These headphones are the absolut must in ear headphones. I love the sound. Some years ago I discovered the late sony first in ear design mdr888 i think now replaced by the 71. I destroyed them not easily like all of you did with your 71. Then i bougt on the cheap 51. I lack the bass and clarity of the 888. Now I have those earbud and I can say that they are definetly better that the sony51 and also better by far than the 71 or the 81. …read full review
