Product Description

Grado Laboratories, and their founder Joseph Grado are renowned for their history in the high-end audio community. The Sunset Park Brooklyn based pioneers of the art are responsible for defining what audiophile quality should sound like. From their first phono cartridge in 1953, to their newest in-ear monitor, Grado Labs are known for setting the standard that manufacturers aspire to - and professionals crave. Being that Grado and AC Gears are both born in NYC, it's a match made in heaven.

The Grado Family assembles their headphones by hand in their Brooklyn facility, constantly working to perfect each model by applying their skilled craftsmanship to advancements in the field. Each iteration of their products represent a significant step forward in reproducing the Grado sound. This latest step is now represented by the e-Series; the third generation of Grado headphones. Each component, surface, and material used in the e Series has been upgraded from previous models to improve on dynamics and fidelity. Rhodium is employed to prevent corrosion of connectors, and unwanted graininess in your audio. Driver design has also been updated, utilizing 6 decades of experience to create their most refined driver geometry. A fine tuned magnetic field enhances symmetry throughout the full range of the voice coil. Even the glue is new, both lighter and more reliable.

As the flagship of Grado's Prestige Series headphones, the SR325e takes all of the elements the other models introduced to the line and places them in a powder coated aluminum housing. The housing itself adds mass to the headphone, allowing for smoother transitions in your audio. The genuine leather headband ensures comfort when in a lengthy listening session, whether you are at home or in the studio. Upgraded from previous iterations of the SR325, the new SR325e follows the trend of the e-series headphones. The new driver design is focused on enhanced control of the extremes of frequency, creating a space for Grado's world renowned midrange to perform. A controlled top end and tight bass allows for smooth vocals and lead instrumentals.

While we recommend these headphones for all types of music, the open back nature of the headphone means that they will leak sound in and out. They are not well suited for overly loud environments or air travel. They sound best during in home monitoring.
